General terms and conditions

2026/2027 Season

1. Contract duration

The contract takes effect on the date of signature for an initial period of one year. It is automatically renewed each year, unless terminated within the periods indicated below.


2. Termination of the contract

Cancellation is only possible at the following two deadlines, with 30 days' notice:

  • December 30th of the current school year
  • June 30th of the current school year


Cancellation notice

The termination must be notified in one of the following two ways:

  • By registered mail to the postal address: KoréArt – Clémentine Jaccoud, Ch. des Chapelles 6, 1297 Founex.
  • By email with read receipt to your official email address.

The contract remains in force until it has been properly terminated in accordance with the above-mentioned procedures and deadlines.


Late cancellation

In the event of cancellation outside the scheduled deadlines, tuition fees remain due until the end of the current semester. In the event of a complete cessation of course attendance, the remaining balance for the semester becomes immediately payable.


3. Illness, accident and special cases

Serious illness or accident

In the event of a permanent inability to continue classes, a valid medical certificate must be submitted within 5 business days of the last class attended. KoréArt management may authorize the suspension of tuition payments for the exact period covered by the certificate. Upon expiration of the certificate, payments will resume as normal.


Moving abroad

In the event of moving abroad, the contract can be terminated in writing according to the termination terms, with a notice period of two months for the end of a month.


4. Course Schedule

The courses follow the public school calendar of the canton of Vaud. The courses end one week earlier in June. The school also suspends classes for an additional week during the year (outside of school holidays) following a dance gala.


5. Payments and fees

The school year is divided into 5 sessions (two-month periods):

  • Session 1: September – October
  • Session 2: November – December
  • Session 3: January – February
  • Session 4 : Mars – Avril
  • Session 5: May – June


An invoice with a Swiss QR code is sent by email before each session and must be paid in full within 30 days.


Late payment

In case of late payment, an administrative fee of CHF 10.00 per reminder will be automatically charged. The school reserves the right to suspend access to courses or terminate the contract without notice and with immediate effect in the event of persistent non-payment.

By signing, the member expressly acknowledges that this signed contract constitutes an acknowledgment of debt within the meaning of Article 82 of the Federal Law on Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy (LP).


Price changes

Prices are announced upon signing the contract. KoréArt reserves the right to modify its prices. Any modification will be notified in writing at least 30 days before one of the termination deadlines (December 30 or June 30).

6. Student absence

All absences must be announced in advance whenever possible. Classes missed due to the student are not refundable. Make-up classes at another level may be offered, subject to school availability and during the current term.


7. Insurance and liability

Personal health and accident insurance is mandatory for each student. The school accepts no responsibility for accidents, injuries, losses, or thefts occurring on the premises (performance hall, changing rooms, building surroundings).


8. Holidays

The school is closed during official Vaud school holidays as well as official public holidays in the canton of Vaud. The season ends at the end of June, one week before the official end of the Vaud public school year.


9. Dress code

Each student must be equipped with their own personal and specific equipment for each class.


Classical Ballet

  • Girls: plain coloured leotard (without skirt) and pale pink tights.
  • Boys: plain fitted t-shirt and shorts, cycling shorts or leggings.
  • Demi-pointes with ribbons or elastic bands. Pointe shoes and protective gear adapted for pointe classes.


Flamenco

  • Studded flamenco shoes, practice skirt and/or suitable trousers.
  • The leotard color must strictly correspond to that assigned to the student's class. Black is reserved exclusively for the advanced level.
  • No jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, dangling earrings) should be worn during classes for safety reasons.


10. Rules of Conduct and Changing Rooms


  • For hygiene and health reasons, each student must wash or disinfect their hands upon arrival.
  • For children requiring accompaniment, only one adult is allowed in the changing room area.
  • The changing room must be left clean and tidy. Quiet and respect are required in the corridors out of consideration for other classes and building users.

11. Mobile phones

The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in class. Devices must be switched off or put in airplane mode before entering the classroom. Children and teenagers must deposit their phones in the designated box at the beginning of each lesson.


12. Hairstyle (ballet)

Students with medium-length or long hair must have their hair securely tied back, completely uncovering their face. From Beginner level 3 (pirouette work) onwards, a traditional classical ballet bun is mandatory if hair length permits.


13. Right to one's image

For promotional purposes and to support school life, KoréArt reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during its activities (classes, workshops, galas, performances). By registering, the member (or their legal guardian) authorizes the use of their image or that of any minor student on the school's official platforms (website, professional Instagram account). This authorization may be withdrawn at any time by simply submitting a written request.


14. Transitional provisions

(Evolution of the commercial brand)

The KoréArt school directly succeeds the activities of the DanseClassique.ch brand, under the same management of Clémentine Jaccoud. Membership contracts previously signed under the name DanseClassique.ch remain fully valid, unchanged, and enforceable; the change of brand name does not entail any breach or modification of current contractual, financial, or pricing commitments.
